Introduction: Heart of The Lake

Silence, even the deep blue water seemed still. There, she lay- eyes closed, in what would seem to be an endless slumber; the red jewels encrusted in each tail, as well as her forehead- glow ominously in the dark depths- an unintentional beacon of crimson light that would guide other inhabitants of The Lake. Emotionless, it would seem; the eerie quiet signifying the night; the Lake and the creatures that make it their home were asleep. A sudden swift movement, an almost transparent image of a Pokemon would move rapidly towards the surface of the lake, yet the water wouldn't change it's flow in the slightest, in accordance to said movement. Emerging, not a drop of water out of place, the spirit would float silently towards the trees of the forest, hooked eyes open and looking around in fascination.

Like a child, taking it's first step into the real world; the Lake's Guardian looks to it's surroundings in curiosity; the scenery that should be so familiar was in fact a complete mystery to her. A breeze- a cool one, would blow by- although remain completely unnoticed by the Pokemon in the area. Sniffing, an enticing scent enters the Pokemon's nostrils, and she wanders over to the bush with an over abundance of deep lavender berries. A bird's caw- frightening, sudden. Immediately, she plunges back into the dark waters of the lake, and seeks her physical body, insuring a certain warmth and sense of safety, even in the shadows of the night. Now, it would be as if nothing had ever happened; nothing out of place, no sound, no movements. Simply the serenity that the stillness of the Lake provided.

Hours would pass bye, minutes, seconds. In time, the Pokemon's eyes would slowly open, revealing the same golden hue that had recently taken in the Forest's beauty. Suddenly, the Lake would be fully alive- the excitement of a new day would resonate throughout the entirety of the Lake's inhabitants, and suddenly it would seem brighter than before; as the sun rises and shines down onto the water's surface. The sound of a heartbeat; pulsating, echoing throughout the forest- the creatures living in the area now proceeded to accomplish their daily tasks, and here she lays- confused, yet energetic and full of passion; her golden eyes an exemplary object of beauty and fascination.

A fresh start; a clean slate. With the Pokemon's memory being wiped, all that was left were her natural instincts as Mesprit; The Guardian of The Lake. It left her in a rather melancholy mood; she knew where she was. It was her home, her sanctuary- but how she came to be there was completely unbeknown to her. Despite the frightful feeling that ignorance stabbed her heart with, there was still an echo of hope and safety; she was home, and that's where she belonged. Of course, that didn't change the fact that she was alone- no family, no friends. A Mesprit with nowhere to go, and nobody to talk to. That would have to be remedied, and such would be as soon as she exits the watery pits of the Lake.
