Revan Adventures: Violet City Gym

After stopping at the city's Pokemon Center, Revan heads over to the city's Gym to challenge the Gym Leader. "Alright Savage, no pressure. Just stay tough, and we can do this." The pair walk in to the Gym.

"You expect to beat my wings with a dog? Commendable confidence, although yet to be proven as well based. You do the honors of starting us off?" The blue haired one would say, rhetorically, eyes glinting with the passion of the fight. He waits to see what his challenger would propose, and would follow up with his own choice.

"Well, Savage here, will start off my team. What about you?"

"Spearow." He states simply, and with a flash of red, the bird would stand before him and glare down it's opponent. "Let's make this quick- shall we?" He says, signaling the beginning of the match.

"Why the rush? Savage Bite!" Growlithe leaps toward the Spearow. Savage lets out a snarl as it flies through the air.

It reacts in anger- flying up in haste before sweeping downwards towards the opponent. The weaker of the two seemed to stand even less of a chance; the bird's speed and evasiveness would cause it to be a pain. "Quick attack- then follow it with furry attack!" He called up towards his flying friend, his words fueling it with the energy needed for the battle.

"Make it fall out of formation with Roar! Then hit it with Ember." Growlithe bellows out a frightening Roar. It then proceeds to blow flames from its snout.

The growlithe's loud bark was enought to make the little bird hesitate, but not enough so that the entire ember hit. So recovering from the light hit, spearow continues with furry attack. Savage was fast on it's feet, but not enough to avoid them all. So after some painful hits growlithe and spearow square off once more.

"All right, that was decent, but you've done better. Use Bite on the Spearow and latch on. Then use Ember up close." Growlithe bounds towards the Spearow looking for a chance to pounce.

"Red Fly higher stay out of range of those fangs and use leer!!!" With that the little bird sped higher up leering down to lower the defense of the earthbound dog. As tried to wait for the opportunity to bite the annoying bird he launches ember in hopes of hitting it or at least bringing it closer to the ground.

Spearow dodges and continues to leer until Flaker barks his next orders. "Ok Red Quick attack and furry attack. Get in there!!!" so the said bird dives at great speeds towards Savage.

"Startle it with Roar then Bite it as it comes closer following up with a direct Ember!" Revan spouts out. Growlithe waits as the Spearow encloses then Roars in its face and Bites at the bird.

The growlithe underestimated the spearow's speed. When it opend it's mouth for what would have been a fierce roar he was smashed into by the swift quick attack. After which it was a horrible position to try and defend himself from the quick nimble pecks that is fury attack, but he followed his partners orders and when the spearow was about to retreat, he let a direct ember to the birds tiny frame. Needless to say both were tired amd wounded from the exchange. The growlithe seemed to barely stand as Spearow beat it's little wings trying to maintain it's flight.

"Hmm, you're weak Growlithe, but I don't think you'll underestimate its speed again since it can barely fly. Keep shooting Ember at it and finish the Spearow from afar!" Growlithe turns at the flying Pokemon and begins to shoot flames at it.

Falkner sighed as he watched the dog pokemon backoff, keeping it's distance. A rookie mistake. If they had only kept the close attack i'm not sure red would be able to keep up, but give him space and time to recover and we will make you pay. Red dodged the embers lazily, increased distance being much easier than close range. After conserving a bit more energy Red flies with little less effort. "Now red lets end this, use quick attack to close in then unleash furry attack!! don't stop till it's over!!" So once again the little bird thrust forward, not as fast as before, but still pretty swiftly.

"Argh! Way faster than before, Roar! Then leap sideways and Bite!" Growlithe begins to unleash another Roar hoping this one makes it out in time.

He didn't make it in time. The dog pokemon once again opened it's maw only to have it slamed shut by the flurry of furry attacks. The spearow was all over the place using quick attacks and furry attack, a perfect combanation attack. The growlithe couldn't defend it's self and faints. Red backs off flying weakly once again as it's last attack had drained alot of energy.

"Fine. Next on the list. Vulcan go! Show it a REAL Quick Attack and then combine it with a Wing Attack!" Savage is put back in its Pokeball and out appears a Pidgeotto that begins racing after the tired Spearow.

Red didn't stand a chance. He could have been faster if he was more well rested, bit this wasn't the case and he quickly fell to the bigger birds assult. "Red you did well return. This is interesting, usually i'd wait, but i think we can have a sky battle worth experienceing. Wings GO!" Throwing out another pokeball from his belt, releasing a pidgeotto who cried out in excitement at the other bird pokemon.

"Well, I guess we'll have a mirror battle won't we. Vulcan, use Quick Attack then Wing Attack again!" Vulcan flies rapidly towards the enemy Pidgeotto.

As the male pigeotto advanced on wings, Falkner barked his orders "Wings try to get behind it with quick attack and use areial ace!!" The two went into a beautiful acrobatic performance of flying feats. Neither one seemed to be able to gain advantage over the other quick attacks matched each move for move dodges made at split second intervals. It wasn't until wings used areial ace against the wing attack that a slight advantage was established. IT was a glancing blow that didn't seem to do the trainers pokemon to much damage, but now they were circling each other waiting for commands.

"Vulcan, Wing Attack then Gust!" Vulcan spreads it's wings to gain a hit.

Once again the two evolved birds engaged in areial combat. Vulcan closed the distance following the command with a wing attack hoping to knock Wings down a peg or two, but the attack missed as Wings was just fast enough to dodge. What he wasn't fast enough to do was avoid the fierce winds that followed. Wings thrown off balacne was quick to orient himself when his master called out for a quick attack. He seemed to gather his witts about him as he speed towards his foe

"Ok, we're going to have to be fast." Vulcan rolls its eyes at Revan knowing he has no experience with speed. "Try using an extremely fast Quick Attack to get close then Tackle it and pin it to the ground using Wing Attack!" Revan shouts to his Pokemon. Vulcan speeds off towards the any Pidgeotto known as 'Wings'.

The two pigeotto's rockt past each other at high speeds. They both again look for any sign of before either makes a move to advance. "Wings Gust!!" The bird pokemon whipped up fierce winds, but it did nothing to slow the Advancing pokemon who was able to brave the gust due to quick attack. It was a soild hit that sent the bird staggering back. As the opponent closed in for what looked like a tackle attack, Wings once again sent out gust this time sending the pokemon backwards pushing it against the wall.

Vulcan slides down while Revan yells, "Faster!" Vulcan gets up and takes off using its master words as a sign to use Quick Attack again. "Knock it back with a Gust then Tackle pin it to the ground. After that is the same as last time."
